Scary costs and spooky charges? Not with OrderWhizz...

A familiar question we get asked is how we keep our costs so low compared to other booking sites. Given the current financial climate, you could be forgiven for thinking there is something we’re not telling you; that we’re keeping our financial skeletons firmly in the cupboard.

Not so!

Because we’re a new company we have comparatively few overheads. We’re making the most of the latest cloud technology to keep our running costs very low. We don’t have those expensive hardware or facilities costs to pass on to you. No gold taps in the executive washroom here. No executive washroom at all, actually.

We’re a small, no frills, hands on team with a great deal of experience in IT so we don’t need to hire in expensive technology companies to do the work for us. We also know from our own experiences of volunteering with sports clubs that most small to medium size sports clubs run on small budgets and the goodwill of volunteers. Our genuine aim with OrderWhizz is to make the budgets and the volunteer time go further. That’s why we don’t have monthly or annual subscription fees – you only pay when you use us – a boon for a seasonal sports club.

To give you an idea of how low your costs are with OrderWhizz, here’s a comparison with an event booking industry leader based on an actual meet that took place in October that was sold using OrderWhizz: major-long-course-meet-costs

As you can see, if the club had gone with the industry leader, they would have paid 14.26% in fees, but with OrderWhizz it was just 4.16%. This means that they had an extra £271.04 in revenue – nothing spooky about that..

The gap is there because our fee includes VAT! So when your customers are buying a ticket and go to the checkout, they aren’t stung with extra charges. If people pay the same online as on the door they are more likely to book online. Reducing your administration and shortening queues to watch the swimming.

In the table above, the industry leader adds £76.54 in VAT to this order – we take care of the VAT which is another saving for the club. This brings the total improvement in revenue to £347.58.
